Hotel Straninger is located in the historic centre of Cesky Krumlov. The current baroque appearance of the house, where the Hotel Straninger is situated, is the result of the careful and demanding work of the restorers. The origin of the building is romanesque and first written mentions of it are dated back to 1370. The rebuilding to the baroque form was realized about 1660 by the houseowner of the time, the Krumlov´s councilman Straninger. The hotel was named in honour of him.
The house is one of the objects in Cesky krumlov which are registered by UNESCO.
