The house, designed by the famous architect Antonin Blazek, was built in a Historism style in 1893. In
1902 the owner at the time, an outstanding hotelier Karel Moravec enlarged the house in Art Nouveau style
and made it the most popular hotel in Brno.
One of the indisputable asset of the hotel is its position at the very centre of downtown Brno, under the
Spilberk Castle, just off the pedestrian area but with easy acces by car and possibility of parking for cars
and buses.
Extensively restored in 1983-87 all 79 double rooms and 3 suites are now beautifully and modernly
furnished and equiped by own bathroom, with direct dial phones, colour satellite TV and minibars.
At your disposal is a restaurant with refreshment bar or full English breakfast, typical Bohemian and
Moravian dishes and large choice of other specialities to your taste. Your leisure time you can spend in a
cosy cafeteria or the wine bar Sarka with live music and a great choice of excellent Moravian wines and
drinks.
